The Perfect Haircut

Urban Company has always been synonymous with comfort. The comfort of getting the job done while you are at your home. The comfort of not waiting.
In 2021, one of our main targets is to establish ourselves as the best in the field along with comfort. We did extensive user callings and found that our users want consistency in their service with their repeated bookings. A very large chunk of our users repeat on our platform and they have to explain how they want their service every time to the professional.
We also ran a survey among our repeat customers to see how often they change their haircut.
A very high percentage of repeat users who on average repeat on 40 days, have to tell the exact same details every time to the professional.
The people who love to experiment also have certain preferences that do not change. In our customer calling and surveys, we came to know that around 60% of the people hate razors being used for giving the final touch, but the professional is not aware of this beforehand and uses it anyway, hence leading to a bad experience.
If the professional is aware of every aspect that the customer is asking before starting the job, even he will be able to deliver an amazing experience to the customer leading to 5-star ratings and tips.

Screens
The first interaction with the preferences.
For a new user, a simple onboarding is there to encourage him to fill in the preferences. Upon dismissing the onboarding the form comes up. On that form, we decided to show a curated list of haircuts for the customer to choose from- which of course is not mandatory. (We were sceptical that people will use this list, but we wanted to try it out). We also gave a few very common preferences to choose from and finally an open text box for other quirks as well.
After the first haircut with preferences, the professional will ask for a photo that is 100% secure and will get saved into your UC profile. This will help you in ensuring that you get the exact haircut every time you choose to. You can then again choose to deny it.
Repeat usage
While booking another haircut, you will be simply asked to choose whether you want to repeat the previous service or not. You can either go ahead with it, skip or edit it.
