Urban Company’s Efforts at Livening Up School Environments and Making Learning Fun

At Urban Company, we believe education forms the bedrock of societal progress and individual empowerment. As the world united in celebration of the International Day of Education, we reflect on the impact our CSR initiative has made on school students studying in Government schools in the last 1 year.

Schools are like a second home for kids, where they spend most of their important hours. It’s where they learn important values, how to be responsible citizens, and have a good time learning. Studies even say that the school environment affects how well kids do in their studies and how they feel overall. A cool school atmosphere makes learning fun and encourages kids to show up and be interested in learning.

Understanding the need for such a conducive learning environment in Government schools in Haryana, our employee volunteers painted school walls and classrooms in 5 schools with vibrant colors and educational graphics that serve as powerful learning tools and enhance the retention capacity of the students.

Our CSR initiative is not just confined to paintbrushes and walls; it encompasses the broader vision of holistic development. Urban Company volunteers have also actively participated in setting up school libraries, providing students with access to a wealth of knowledge beyond textbooks. The initiative also includes cleaning up basketball courts and playgrounds, ensuring that students have recreational spaces that contribute to the development of both their physical and mental well-being. We understand that education goes hand in hand with holistic growth, nurturing well-rounded individuals.

At our latest activity at Welfare Society for Persons with Hearing and Speech Impairment, our volunteers also painted their school walls with impactful graphics and art that translated the world into a visually accessible format for them, creating a lasting impact on their educational journey. Our aim through these efforts is to infuse creativity into education that not only sparks interest but also contributes to a more engaging and effective learning experience.

As the world marks the International Day of Education, we look forward to painting a brighter and more promising future for the students of the country. The transformation of school environments is more than just a visual spectacle. The initiative is a commitment to uplifting the spirits of students and inspiring them to reach for the stars. Through our CSR activities, in the last 1 year, 1000+ students now study in an environment that nurtures curiosity and creativity. In celebrating education, let us work collectively towards a world where every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
